What is The Legacy Midtown Park?
This is an extraordinary new rental senior living community coming to Dallas in 2020. It will offer a Dallas-style, high quality urban living experience in the heart of Midtown. This community will offer not only independent living apartments but also assisted living and memory support apartments and healthcare suites – the full continuum of care all on one campus.
The Legacy Midtown Park is owned and operated by The Legacy Senior Communities and expands on the success of The Legacy Willow Bend, that takes the quality of senior living well beyond the highest level available in the Dallas area. The Legacy Senior Communities is Dallas’s only Jewish sponsored, not-for-profit senior living provider.
Where is The Legacy Midtown Park located?
Our campus is located south of Loop 635, on the east side of Hwy. 75, and is nestled between Walnut Hill and Royal Lane. It’s close to shopping, dining and all of the city’s conveniences, however enjoys the quiet of being framed to the north by Royal Oaks golf course. The location is less than a mile north of Presbyterian Hospital.
When will The Legacy Midtown Park open?
Our campus will open in phases, beginning with the Healthcare Center offering Skilled Nursing/Rehab, which will open in summer 2020. Assisted Living/Memory Care will open later in the early fall of 2020. The two Independent Living towers are set to open in the first quarter of 2021.
How many residential apartments will be available?
Independent Living will include 184 apartment homes; Assisted Living will offer 51 apartment homes; Memory Care will feature 36 suites with private baths, and Skilled Nursing/Rehab will include 54 suites with private baths.
What does it cost to move to The Legacy Midtown Park?
The Legacy Midtown Park is a rental community, so residents will pay monthly rent as well as a small, nonrefundable community fee upon moving in. Each apartment is priced according to features and location, however apartments will start at approximately $3500 and go up from there. The Legacy Midtown Park will incorporate all of the latest features that seniors tell us they are looking for, including more choices, more creativity and more dining venue options.
What is included in the monthly rent for Independent Living?
The Independent Living rent will include, among other things, a generous dining program, weekly housekeeping, all utilities including internet, secured, underground parking, transportation, full fitness and wellness programming, and a cardio equipment room along with a heated indoor pool and hot tub.
Art works will take center stage in the décor. An art wall and outdoor butterfly garden will lend a serene and awe-inspiring ambiance to the community’s common areas. For residents who want to exercise their creativity, an art studio will provide plenty of opportunities.
The community will employ an executive chef and a pastry chef to delight residents with creative daily menus, including Kosher selections, along with other dietary accommodations.
In-depth planning on dining options will ensure that residents find exactly what they’re hungry for at almost any time of day. The community will provide a range of dining options, including a bar/pub that serves food, casual dining in the bistro, a formal restaurant featuring the chef’s table, a private dining room and a top floor Vista Lounge.
A full-time wellness coordinator will engage and entertain through a wide variety of healthy living programs and activities. Residents can also stay physically active in the planned aquatic center, or in the community’s fully staffed fitness facility. For an additional fee, a visit to the spa or hair salon can make the day extra soothing and enjoyable.
Spiritual needs are also included in the space design, and The Legacy Midtown Park will include a worship sanctuary that can also be utilized for special programs.
Security and safety received extraordinary planning. Besides providing a gated community, The Legacy Midtown Park will also utilize a security system based on the latest, cutting-edge technology to monitor the entire campus on a 24/7 basis.
How do we go about seeing floor plans or reserving apartments?
To be among the first to see and select apartments, join the Premier Club! Being a member of The Legacy Midtown Park Premier Club provides many benefits and this group will be called in to reserve apartments before the general public. Will you allow pets?
Yes, The Legacy Midtown Park will be “pet-friendly” and even has space for a dog park and a dog washing station!
Will you accept Medicare/Medicaid as payment?
Our Skilled Nursing/Rehab center will have a contract with Medicare/Medicaid, along with other private insurance providers, to offer a wide range of payment options. Assisted Living and Memory Care will be a private pay arrangement but will be licensed to qualify for long-term care insurance to be utilized.
