The Barbie craze took over The Legacy Midtown Park! Yesterday, the residents, patients, and team members of the Andrea & Richard Skibell and Leslie Rudd Healthcare Center hosted a pink, Barbie-themed fashion show.
The dining room was packed with participants and guests to watch Legacy’s ladies and gentlemen strut their stuff down the pink runway. Residents and patients also performed a choreographed dance for the guests. All of this was followed by a reception with food and drinks. Fashion-themed art was also on display showcasing resident fashion sketches and pictures of residents’ most fashionable moments.
This fun and thoughtful event was organized by Alexandreia Henderson, Lifestyles Coordinator. Alexandreia produces several unique events throughout the year that bring excitement and joy to the Healthcare Center. These events, along with the regularly scheduled activities (bingo, art classes, food and drink tastings, Shabbat services, etc.) distinguish The Legacy experience and truly make a positive impact on the Healthcare Center’s patients and long-term care residents.
Make more moments like this possible by supporting The Legacy Senior Communities Foundation. It is our great honor to care for seniors. We continue to uphold the mission of our founders by providing a continuum of care to seniors and their families delivered with compassion, dignity, and excellence, while embracing our Jewish values.
Every year, The Legacy Senior Communities Foundation, with support from The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, provides more than $1 million in charitable care to Jewish seniors in the Dallas area. This care includes resident support and thousands of hours of Personal Assistance Services provided by The Legacy at Home grant program.
It is the community’s continued support that leaves an imprint on the present and future of our organization, creating a level of distinction we call The Legacy Difference. This distinction includes Jewish life initiatives, Kosher dining programming, social events and activities, resident transportation, security, and much more!
The Legacy is able to respond to the most urgent and changing needs of our residents and their families, and the growing demand for senior care and services thanks to our generous donors.
Swing by our Blog every Friday to welcome in Shabbat with a new story highlighting the life seniors live at The Legacy Senior Communities.
