An Independent Living resident recently went to the parking garage to leave for a day of errands and appointments. But there was a problem, their car would not start. They went to the Concierge Desk to seek assistance.
A Dining team member happened to overhear the situation and voluntarily jumped up to assist.
Long story short, the cable jumpers were not long enough to reach the team member’s truck due to adjacent parking spaces being full.
The team member put the resident’s car in neutral and pushed the car back into the driveway area and jumped off the battery. It was a difficult and timely process, but the team member was determined to help the resident and complete the task.
As soon as the battery had power, another resident was nearby, watching and waiting. She asked the if he could place her new registration sticker on her windshield. He happily obliged.
The team member’s response was beyond the call of duty and outside his daily scope of responsibility, but he was happy to help a resident (or two!) in need.
