Dear Legacy at Home,
I’m writing to you because my time with my home health nurse is almost over and I find that I am going to miss her very much. I wanted to tell you why.
After my surgery for a severe, life-changing medical condition, I found myself with no one to help me maneuver through the trials and tribulations of recovery from a nine-hour surgery, only two “lessons” from a hospital nurse, at an age where any kind of change to my life is difficult to manage, and a surgical team that clashed with my personality on many levels.
I called my primary care physician, in tears, thinking I had made the biggest mistake of my life, and was actually planning my permanent demise. My doctor immediately went into action and called The Legacy at Home. My angel quickly showed up at my door. She told me she would walk by my side throughout my recovery and assured me that things would turn around. Every time she walked into my house her positive attitude, her extensive knowledge, and her uncanny ability to always seem available to me as if I was her only patient, carried me through some pretty rough times. I can’t tell you what a difference she’s made in my life. I became hopeful, confident, and able to take some control over my life again.
I just wanted to let you know what a blessing she has been to me. She literally saved my life. I’m sorry our time together is nearly at an end but I am so grateful for her care and attention that helped heal me. I know there are others out there who need her just as much as I have. Thank you for sending her my way.
