Every day, The Legacy acts as the safety net for Dallas’ Jewish seniors. Through generous donations to The Legacy Senior Communities Foundation, charitable care is provided on both our Willow Bend and Midtown Park campuses, as well as through Legacy at Home. Additionally, philanthropic funds provide other experiences for residents, patients, and clients that distinguish our level of living and care known as The Legacy Difference: full-time Rabbi, weekly Shabbat Services and holiday programming in all levels of care, Kosher dining, round-the-clock security, and so much more!

During this holiday season, please keep our seniors in mind. Examples of your donation’s impact include:
- $7,000: Provides one month’s funding gap for one Medicaid patient in our Healthcare Center
- $4,500: Funds one month’s rental assistance for one Assisted Living resident
- $1,000: Supplemental security for public Jewish event on campus
- $500: Funds one week (20 hours) of Personal Assistance Services for a Legacy at Home grant client
- $230: Covers one day’s funding gap for one Medicaid patient in our Healthcare Center
- $25: Provides one hour of Personal Assistance Services for a Legacy at Home grant client

Individuals aged 70½ may use a Traditional IRA to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) of up to $100,000 to give directly to a 501(c)3 charity tax-free, allowing you to give more to your favorite charities and possibly minimize your taxes. Additionally, any portion of this amount is eligible to apply to your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
