February brought another ice storm upon The Legacy Midtown Park and The Legacy Willow Bend. As in years past, Legacy team members went above and beyond to serve and care for residents. Many team members stayed overnight on campus to avoid treacherous travel, while others volunteered to picked-up co-workers and/or supplies to ensure Legacy services remained operational.
“We always expect to be treated well, but this week felt like above and beyond.” -LMP Resident
“I could write about all who slept here, worked all morning and then evening to keep us fed but that does not happen without leadership. To see directors here during the ice storm serving food, pouring drinks, cleaning tables and doing their best to get people what was needed showed the greatness of our community. I am not sure some ever went home. I could name many, but would forget some, so thank you to all!” -LPM Resident
While we are proud of how our team handles such situations, we hope February winter storms do not become an annual tradition.
