There was a Legacy at Home client who loved animals but could no longer afford or provide the needed care for her pet. The Legacy’s caregiver took it upon herself to arrange for The Legacy van to take them one day a month to the animal shelter so the client could interact with the animals. This became the client’s favorite day every month. But this also became the caregiver’s favorite day because of the smiles and shared laughter.
