These donations offer the greatest flexibility for management, allowing our lay and executive leadership to use funds for our most pressing operational needs.
It is our great honor to care for seniors. The Legacy Senior Communities continues to uphold the mission of our founders by providing a continuum of care to seniors and their families delivered with compassion, dignity, and excellence, while embracing our Jewish values.
Every year, The Legacy Senior Communities Foundation, with support from The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, provides more than $1 million in charitable care to Jewish seniors in the Dallas area. This care includes resident support and thousands of hours of Personal Assistance Services provided by The Legacy at Home grant program.
It is your continued support that leaves an imprint on the present and future of our organization, creating a level of distinction we call The Legacy Difference. These funds enable The Legacy to respond to the most urgent and changing needs and the growing demand for senior care and services.
These funds further our commitment to our seniors, making our services available to those who need financial help in order to pay for care. Partnering with the Jewish community and the entire Legacy community, we plan to grow our endowment to ensure we have resources available to assist those in need.
These donations offer the greatest flexibility for management, allowing our lay and executive leadership to use funds for our most pressing operational needs.
Our employee appreciation fund provides an extra “thank you” to Legacy team members through annual appreciation pay, educational scholarships, and professional development opportunities. It’s our way to care for those who care for our beloved seniors.
These funds allow us to provide quality-of-life activities that distinguish The Legacy experience, such as our on-staff rabbi, kosher kitchens, and Jewish programming and activities.
Honor or remember someone by helping others. A card is mailed acknowledging the donation made, fund designated, and is able to include a short message from the donor.
The Leave a Legacy Society is composed of thoughtful, forward-thinking donors like you who have opted to make their values known to future generations through one of the many different types of planned gifts. The Leave a Legacy Society members will be recognized in perpetuity in printed materials and on signage at The Legacy Willow Bend and The Legacy Midtown Park campuses.
We are so grateful for the generous support of our Leadership Circle of Giving. Join these charitable donors by making an annual gift of $1,000 or more to support annual operations, our Financial Assistance Fund, Grateful Hearts, or Jewish Life. These funds allow LSC to sustain the quality and compassionate care that we have provided the Jewish community for more than 65 years.
The Legacy at Home had the opportunity to help a married couple, both Holocaust survivors who moved here from Russia to be cared for by their daughter. The couple’s daughter worked full time, which made caring for her father who was blind, in poor health, and who couldn’t speak English, a challenge. Making the situation worse, neither the daughter nor the couple had the financial means to hire appropriate assistance. Through our grant program, LAH provided the family a caregiver in their home three days a week to help with meal prep, personal needs, light housekeeping, errands, and overall safety and companionship. The husband has since passed, but we have provided weekly care since 2018.
The Legacy Senior Communities is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing a wide range of services to seniors. We are grateful for your generous financial support that allows us to provide the highest quality care for your loved ones.
